Land use plan for the southern side of Turku Airport approved

In a meeting held on 20 March, Turku City Council approved the land use plan for the southern side of Turku airport. The plan allows for the construction of 271,000 square metres of floor space in the Pilot Turku area. The area will host logistics operations, as well as high-tech, technology wholesale, and spare parts operations.

A city planning proposal is now being prepared for the northern side of Turku Airport. It is anticipated that a final decision will be made on the completed proposal within a couple of years. Together these areas would allow for the construction of nearly one million square metres of floor space.
