TNT ramps up capacity in Turku

24.05.2010Printable version

International express deliveries operator TNT is raising capacity on its route between Turku and Liège through the introduction of a Boeing 757 cargo plane. In line with the overall growth in demand for air cargo services, TNT revealed, the larger plane will respond to increased cargo volumes on the route.
TNT has put Turku Airport at the heart of its Finnish operations and last week boosted its roster with the addition of daily return flights from Turku to Tallinn and Riga. This marks a significant advance in TNT’s freight connections to the Baltic States, ensuring ample capacity for business in those countries.
The new air routes are being introduced concurrently with TNT’s service capacity upgrades and new flight schedules implemented elsewhere in Europe. The new routes and schedules will remain fixed throughout the summer until further notice. Air routes, schedules and capacity will all be reappraised in time to meet autumn and winter delivery volumes.
