LogiCity moving Turku forward

The City of Turku’s business manifesto continues to produce tremendous results. This vision is epitomised by the city’s Competence and Business Strategy 2006–2009, which has significantly strengthened the local business environment. A substantial number of new jobs were created in 2007 and new companies established in innovative business, with turnover up 8% on average.

 

The six clusters promoted by the strategy play an important role in implementing this success. In addition to the Logistics cluster, Turku’s Biotechnology, Applied ICT, Maritime, Tourism, and Creative knowledge-intensive clusters are all forging ahead.
