TNT Finland doubles the size of its LogiCity terminal

Express delivery operator TNT Suomi Oy has opened a new cargo terminal at LogiCity next to Turku Airport and the expanded facilities cover 5,400 square metres.

TNT’s Turku office handles shipments to customers west of the Tammisaari–Kokkola line and acts as the sorting centre for the company’s road transports in Finland. Peter Ervasalo, Regional Director for Turku, says that express deliveries continue to grow and TNT has practically doubled its volume in the Turku region and Southwest Finland over the last four years.

New projects and more jobs

The new terminal facilities are expected to meet demand for the next seven years and create more than ten new jobs within just a couple of years.

TNT’s growth continues to boost development at LogiCity and further construction projects are expected to start during the spring. Kaukokiito and Läänin Kuljetus have already decided to build with others likely to follow as the region’s key logistics hub goes from strength to strength.
