LogiCity marketing in the Finnish Championship finals20.04.2007 LogiCity’s launch campaign is in the top ten for the Finnish Municipal Marketing Championship finals
A total of 60 entries was submitted to the Finnish municipal marketing competition, whose goal is to develop marketing expertise in the municipal sector by identifying and highlighting examples of best practice in municipal and regional marketing: exemplary marketing that produces results.
LogiCity’s extensive launch campaign in autumn 2006 was nominated in the top ten of the competitiveness category. Awards will be given for marketing whose goal is to develop the competitiveness and vitality of a region or municipality, and to support the process of change.
The other categories are tourism and recruitment. The jury will select the best three campaigns in each category, and the winners will be announced at the Piiri 07 event in Turku on 8th May.
The competition is arranged by organisations working in the development of municipal and regional marketing: the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, Association of Regional Development Agencies in Finland (SEKES), and the Association of Tourism Organisations in Finland. It is part of the Piiri project, which is an open co-operation and development network that is free of charge and exists to strengthen the marketing expertise of municipalities, regions and areas. The Piiri project’s partner companies are Helsingin Sanomat, Yhtyneet Kuvalehdet/Suomen Kuvalehti, Kuntalehti, Finlands kommuntidning, Hansaprint Oy, MicroMedia Oy, Luovia Oy and Rientola Yhteisöviestintä.
